Heart conditions are an underlying medical condition that may increase the risk of serious COVID-19 for individuals of any age. The Congenital Heart Public Health Consortium steering committee recognized the need for clear and concise information about Coronavirus 2019 (COVID-19). The attached document offers answers to questions frequently asked by people with congenital heart disease.

The UTah Congenital Heart Defect project (UTCHD) is a project funded by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) to better understand the prevalence of congenital heart defects (CHDs) in Utah and provide individuals and family members of individuals with CHDs living in or around Utah with education and resources.  By clicking on the above buttons, you will find information on why CHDs are an issue, why specialized care is needed, and where to go to receive care for that group.  You can also find additional information on resources and support groups in the state, links to other sites, as well as frequently asked questions.
